Nice looking guitar.
Although have you read the reviews there? It sounds like you could get ripped off.
If you can, and if you are very keen on guitars, I recomend you save up a bit more and get one at least double that price.
For the extra spent you will get a much better built instrument.
Check out the Schecter- Omen 6 guitar for $299.
There is a hyperlink below for a video demo of the Omen-6 .

Guitar & Piano Lessons are also useful., and,, if you already knew the chords in Guitar-minors and majors and the keys in Piano-I mean the C,B,D,E,F,G,A,B,C–even without knowing the notes written in piano pieces,, then you can play & compose your own songs… icon biggrin Learning musical instruments?Help me..? The notes and tunes are just the same so whatever piece you’ll play in Guitar, can also be played in Piano–using chords..!

What is the concept of physics behind electric guitar effects?

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Guitar effects are the objects you see on musical instruments shop.. this effects change the sound produced by the guitar..overdrive, distortion, and delay are examples.

I need physics-related concepts..thank you very much icon biggrin What is the concept of physics behind electric guitar effects?
uhh..i need specific fields in physics..and im not talking about the guitar..im talking about the effects..and i thinks it is metal and electronics is connected to it

The type, density, amount of pieces, grain of the wood species affects the way everything attached to it vibrates, just as adhesives used, finish applied and hardware do. Wood, then, along with all of the other factors, influence vibration of strings, nuts, bridges, pickups, etc. Since everything is attached, directly or indirectly, to the wood, it affects vibration of every single component.

Vibration= disturbance of electrical field. Disturbance of electrical field= sound. Quality and color of sound= tone.

I need a quiet musical instrument that I can learn in secret…?

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

I need to be able to learn a musical instrument secretly. It must be, above all:
1) Quiet and small so that I can practice it secretly in a house with other people
2) Cheap, not like an electric keyboard or expensive electric violin
Edit: By quiet I mean something that can be muted well (brass instruments can be muted but not well, theyre still loud, for instance) or played through headphones so electronic instruments might be my only option here…

Not all keyboards are expensive, and I think a keyboard may be your best bet. I have a roll up keyboard that I use for travel that might work for you (check the link below). It doesn’t cost much and you can plug headphones in. It does need to be used on a hard surface, such as table or desk or hard floor – does not work well on carpet.

History of Indian musical instruments
Revered Hindu religious scriptures of the Vedas speak of the use of musical instruments in worship. The fact that Indian musical instruments are mentioned in such ancient religious works is indicative of the fact that music had an important role in ancient India. The foundation of Indian music was rooted in three different forms of performance-art. These were Vocal music or singing, instrumental music and dance.

Medieval musical instruments are those that were used between the fifth and seventeenth centuries AD in India. Many religious songs that dealt with the story of Radha and Krishna were composed during this period. During the Muslim invasion of Northern India Indian music came to be divided into the Northern Hindustani music and the southern Carnatic style of music. The instruments used in the medieval era by musicians from both styles of music included the veena, the sitar, the sarod, the shehenai, the tabla, the harmonium and the pakhavaj to name just a few.

Indian music has two main aspects. Rag which deals with the area of melody and Tal which has to do with rhythm. The system of Rag involves the arrangement of seven notes.
Today, many ancient musical instruments are hard to locate and some rare musical instruments that were once an important part of Indian musical tradition are no longer used at all. The ‘been’, a traditional blowpipe as is usually depicted in pictures of snake-charmers and the ‘bhopung’, a one-stringed musical instrument are some examples of these.

Indian music and hence musical instruments of the Indian subcontinent have gradually evolved from their original versions as a result of the interaction of Indian people with people from other cultures. All musical instruments Indian or otherwise have their own unique history attached to them. For example it would be true to say that most folk music has employed some kind of rhythmic drum beat and while folk songs are still popular the drums may have been altered to get a different and perhaps unique sound. Still, in India, because of many avid fans of classical streams of music, Indian manufacturer of musical instruments do still cater to this sector by manufacturing ancient musical instruments even today. In the Indian consumer market, the list of musical instruments for sale would therefore still include a list of popular age-old instruments like the sitar which is believed to be the predecessor of the modern-day guitar, the tabla, the sarod, the shehenai and many more.

One can also get a hold of an array of wholesale musical instruments India. Such wholesale schemes allow the consumer to avail of the economies of scale. This is especially true in the case of rare, old musical instruments as these can be costly to produce just to cater to a small demand.

Musical instruments manufacturing stores in India also make quality, western musical instruments. The list of instruments that are manufactures within the Indian sub-continent would now include a variety of percussion instruments, musical devices, electronic musical gadgets and instruments, electronic versions of ancient musical instruiments lie the tabla, tanpura, dholak, flute, sarangi, etc, a huge range of wind instruments and many more.
