i am very good at making music…..i want to be a singer. i can make the music on my keyboard. but it only lets me record one thing on the left hand and one thing on my right. i need more instruments playing. i want to put it on a CD as well. how do I?
Below is a link to the Finale comparison chart. I usually tell aspiring songwriters to download Finale NOTEPAD for ten bucks, but your situation is a little different – you want to use keyboard input, and NOTEPAD will not do that. The next level up, Songwriter, will. When you get this connected, you will be saving your songs on the PC, not in the memory on your keyboard. You will be able to manipulate your music just about any way you want! The sound quality will be great (no knowing what else you have for equipment), and you can also send this to people who have Finale programs at any level, for them to ass their own input, etc. I do not know under what format you keyboard saves sound – IF IF IF it is MIDI or XML< you might be able to import you already-composed songs in toe the PC – but I have a feeling that it will be easier for you to start entering them fresh, and learn the mechanics as you go.
There are far better places that the manufacturer from which to buy this – try www.academicsuperstore.com. Good luck with your projects. Here is the link to buy it – forty bucks. https://www.academicsuperstore.com/product/search?qk_srch=Finale+Songwriter&x=0&y=0

Your question is kind of vague but, i would think you need a MIDI interface for your keyboard. Go to "Guitar Center"in major city or in your area, those guys will hook ya up. Hope ya get it all ok. james

As James mentioned, a MIDI interface might be your best bet. My boyfriend has his Yamaha keyboard hooked up through one to his pc, and it’s very responsive. And yes, the music shop will be able to give you all the stuff you need.
Also consider using it through a program like FL Studio or Reason- Reason has a BRILLIANT orchestral soundbank, the sounds are made with instruments that were ACTUALLY recorded, so it’s as realistic as it gets.
Hope this helps!

I actually play clarinet, sax, piano and drums, but my boyfriend makes digital music. He also records his guitar through his Boss effects pedal onto his pc so he can manipulate it and use it in songs.
