There isn’t any specific time of how long to play an instrument. It takes time. I’ve played guitar for only a while, and I’m still a beginner.

i’ve been playing the guitar for about 4 years. to be honest i’m not even close to good. it’s a matter of talent and how much time you spend learning. if you’d play any instrument for hours / day, you can manage it in a year i reckon. but it’s harder to learn piano and stuff. but once you figured out how to play one instrument; you could play any other well in a matter of weeks.

Once you start learning & practicing you can learn something new everyday, but if you mean how long it takes to get good than it just depends on how dedicated you are & how fast you pick up playing the instrument.
