‘I Don’t Want To Wait’ Original song by unsigned songwriter Kim Larking. Piano ballad on the electronic keyboard. Read more for lyrics: ‘I Don’t Want To Wait’ It’s hard to come to grips with what I’m seeing as my failure to fit in anywhere And all the people in the world just don’t want to care It’s taken me some time to build the courage up to now But I just want to say these words somehow Why does it feel so hard And why do I feel so lost I want to be someone special Not wallowing in their dust And I don’t want to wait But I have to wait until The perfect end comes into view It’s just a dream but if I believe One day perhaps I’ll be with you This world’s so very beautiful sometimes it takes my breath away I’m so wrapped up in jealousy because it never comes my way I know you’re just another normal guy without a clue But I still want to say these words to you Why does it feel so hard And why do I feel so lost I want to be someone special Not wallowing in their dust And I don’t want to wait But I have to wait until The perfect end comes into view It’s just a dream but if I believe One day perhaps I’ll be with It shouldn’t mean so much to me It’s been my own philosophy That it’s the shy ones and the kind ones Who are so often left behind But I don’t really want to be Caught up in their reality I want to start again I need a friend or someone to call my own So why do I feel so lost I want to be someone special Not wallowing in their dust And I don’t want to wait But I have …

Aww, thank you! I’m afraid you can’t buy my music anywhere – I’m not well-known enough! However, I have a nice recorded version of “I Don’t Want To Wait” (much better quality than this video), and if you send me your email address in a message, I’ll email you the MP3 for free. How about that?

Great Job, I find it hard to sing and play at the same time. It’s way harder to do that people think.. I think you’ve got a really nice voice

I’m not sure who Jan Hammer is, but I do recommend KORGs as keyboards. I love the sound quality on mine (certainly it comes across in this video better than my voice does!). This one cost me about 1200 AUD, but it was on sale at the time. I think that music equipment in general is much cheaper in a lot of overseas countries, though.

Yeh it’s great i play keyboard myself and find it hard to sing and play at the same time lol.
KORG’s are quite expensive i believe Jan Hammer uses them.

let’s just be honest, she’s puttin’ her heart in both the piano and her singing. It’s easy to make problems in either and esp. doing both. That was very original, outstanding, phenominal actually. =D

I really like your chord progressions in this and the lyrics ring true. I can tell you really felt this song, which has always been an important thing to me when I hear a song.
Great work!

Yes, I’m going to work on the sound quality in the next couple of months by recording. I plan on putting up a new video then. I actually did write this song on a grand piano originally, and it did sound much better then. Unfortunately my own piano is very out of tune, though.

hmm one technic thing: sound quali is poor. But song is really cool, but me myself dont like keyboard so much…. would like it more with a piano…. but anyway, its only my personal poinion! really nice song

Wow, rainwolf! Thank you for such nice compliments! It’s always nice to meet another songwriter, especially another shy one.
Let’s both work hard on our music!

You are very inspireing. I myself write, songs, poetry, music. And play Piano. However. My voice is not good. I do love singing though. I listened to all your songs. You are very creative and have a very good voice. The melodies in your music are very creative and your voice is very unique and original. I guess alot of creative types are shy. I am also shy. I am actually age 33. Started writing songs age 13 after my grandfather past. However started playing piano age 5.

Thanks for your comment, spankinyou! Yes, I have some pitch problems when playing the keyboard while singing. This song in particular is not so easy to sing, especially during the fast parts of the chorus. It’s something I need to work on more. I appreciate the feedback.

this words in this song are stunning, and the rythem is really good too, just need to work on your pitch. really good keyboard work
