Here’s Bevvy (Diana D’Itri, Rebecca Coltman, Liz Jones, Brenda Lancaster, Debi Pomeroy), an all girl original rock band from the ’80′s. Remember the Go Go’s (we were after them)… Remember the Bangles (right before)…oh well, we never “made it” but we sure had fun and we wrote some decent songs (I think, anyway). I’ll be posting more later so you can be the judge. In this performance at FM Station in LA in 1986, like many of our showcases (we did play the Roxy and Gazzaris back when they were still kind of something), I was with child…6 mo. along with my 2nd. The song is called Yamaha man (just in time for Namm 2010). Yamaha man was one of our first originals and was inspired by our keyboard player’s new Yamaha keyboard.
If we trace the birth of big band jazz music we have to go back in history to the 1920’s. Jazz music probably originated in Louisiana which was then a busy port attracting people from all walks of life from the world over. This gave the musicians ready access to different forms of music. The cauldron of recipes from South American to the American blues and European classical to folk music from far flung areas saw the birth of jazz. Louis Armstrong was probably among the first to popularize jazz with his fine trumpet solos. It was obviously due to improvisation that jazz music quickly gained in popularity.
The advent of the radio gave a fresh boost to jazz music with popular jazz bands in big cities like New York and Chicago in the 1940’s. The rhythmic jazz bands ushered in the “swing era” and the big band jazz music immortalized by the likes of Parker and Gillespie. The popularity of jazz music even today is indicative of our diverse cultures and spirit of the individual. Jazz music is truly the music of soul.
Jazz music is now a part of our music scene. Though its birth was in bars you can now hear jazz music in concerts, in street festivals, in movies and in clubs. It has been accepted globally as a fine form of personalized and individualistic music. Big band jazz music is still popular with guitar, piano, saxophone, flute, keyboard, percussion instruments and the trumpet among others adding to the tempo. The immense revival in the popularity of big band jazz music is adding to the growth in the numbers of amateurs wanting to learn principally jazz piano and jazz guitar among other instruments.
For amateurs of all age groups the internet has spawned a cache of websites making available the finest online courses. These courses taught by professionals help an individual to play along video recordings of popular jazz through jazz accompaniment tracks. So the learner can be taken step by step through his popular music track with his own selection of music instruments.

Harmonix riffs on Rock Band 3 features
Rock Band 3 will feature new keyboard play, support for three-part harmonies and up to seven players, and access to nearly 2,000 tracks at launch.
The keyboard is a multi dimensional instrument. It can mimic any instrument. That includes guitars, saxophone, trumpet and the piano. Keyboardists are adept at changing instruments and adding a whole new aspect to the orchestra. Adding color with quick and unpredictable changes is the job of a keyboardist. The keyboard can also produce sound effects, which are used in dramas and movies. For example the sound of some one falling or fighting.
The earliest keyboard appeared in the third century BC. It was known as the organ. The organ was the only type of keyboard till the 14th century AD. It did not have keys like today but it had levers, which had to be manipulated with the whole hand. As time went on, keyboards achieved better and better shape. Considerable work was done on the keyboard in the 20th century. Synthesizers developed from 1960′s and the moog synthesizers became popular. These gave a boost to the keyboards.
The keyboard was produced through working on a small piano. People wanted a smaller piano with its sound and quality but without its weight and bulk. This led to the electronic piano, which did not succeeded. A modern day keyboard consists of electronic circuits and is able to change and reproduce various instruments.
Today keyboards are of 2 types. The professional versions which have many features and the smaller and in expensive ones for kids and amateurs. The professionals call the higher models simply keyboards while the amateur ones are called electronic keyboards. These amateur versions can be purchased from electronic stores or shops where mobile phones and video games are sold.
The keyboards have many useful features. One such feature is the midi out port, which allows the musician to control another device through his or her instrument. This can be a personal computer where the musician can store the played songs for later editing. This port can also be used to control devices that have no human interfaces. If the keyboard has a midi in port, then it can be controlled through other instruments, midi controllers and equipment that understand the midi standard of message sending.
The keyboard has become an integral part of every group today. Not only is it used in music, but also in providing sound effects and auditory cues in drama theaters and movies. Keyboards are portable allowing the musicians to carry the instrument with him. Finally, it is a package of many. Although one unit it packs the power of many instruments.

Rock Band 3 to include keytar and new “pro” mode
Rock Band 3 will feature a keytar, Ars Technica’s inside source revealed. Information about the upcoming Rock Band package including a keyboard was teased in the Green Day: Rock Band demo. But rather than a keyboard, Rock Band 3 will be sporting a keytar, a lightweight keyboard supported by a guitar-like strap. According to Ars Technica, the keytar will be the only new instrument in the game.
Example what brand of guitars( do we have a bass guitar that can play pop music tone and normal bass guitar tone both inc) , keyboard, drums and equitment such as mixers, equalizers, amplifiers etc.
