Here’s Bevvy (Diana D’Itri, Rebecca Coltman, Liz Jones, Brenda Lancaster, Debi Pomeroy), an all girl original rock band from the ’80′s. Remember the Go Go’s (we were after them)… Remember the Bangles (right before)…oh well, we never “made it” but we sure had fun and we wrote some decent songs (I think, anyway). I’ll be posting more later so you can be the judge. In this performance at FM Station in LA in 1986, like many of our showcases (we did play the Roxy and Gazzaris back when they were still kind of something), I was with child…6 mo. along with my 2nd. The song is called Yamaha man (just in time for Namm 2010). Yamaha man was one of our first originals and was inspired by our keyboard player’s new Yamaha keyboard.
I broke my Yamaha E-403 and upgraded to a Yamaha YPG-525. A little portion of this song was written by someone else but I do not know who. Heard it somewhere and it stuck with me. This new keyboard has a lot of sounds to discover built into it.
Caught in the Net: Get your Converses on for the summer
In 2008, Converse roped in Julian Casablancas, Santogold and Pharrell to promote their shoes via a one-off single. As far as music/commercial tie-ins go, it was probably one of the more reasonable marriages, considering Converse’s long-storied relationship with rock music.
Teen pours out her heart in song
The art and poetry of songwriting seems to be a lost talent for teenagers to flaunt. Many of the songs playing on the radio and topping the charts are written by big-name songwriters who are 3,000 miles away from the recording artist and penning the words in their multimillion dollar Southern Califo…
My Love-Song to Google and YouTube! This is another variation specially written for both Google & YouTube Video based almost entirely upon my Cyberspace Classic Romance. It is played on Technics Electronic Keyboard by Amateur Musician & Composer – Miss Denise Hewitt *** Denise is wearing a Knee-Length Light Blue Skirt and Satin White Blouse for her performance of her composition – “Love-Song” to Google & YouTube ***
There is this solo like halfway through the song using this instrument (sounds kinda like a keyboard). The instrument is also used in a lot of the napoleon dynamite songs. Help me out please.
Due to the complaints from the auto-focus as well as the misalignment of the video and audio of my first “Sally Song” on piano video (at this URL: youtube.com ), I’ve created a new one. This time, I played it on the Yamaha keyboard that I got for my birthday last year. My family gave the piano I used in the last video to my uncle who we got it from. Sorry for the weird angle. I didn’t have a higher place to put it and I know you guys don’t wanna see my fat stomach or thighs -.-’ I meant to show some of my face this time. Ah well. There’s always a next time. I did this on a different camera since the LCD on the camera I used for the last “Sally’s Song” video broke. This camera does much better quality and it doesn’t make that auto-focus noise. There is some slight feedback but it’s not that noticeable. I hope you like it NOTE: Again, for those of you looking for the sheet music, I ordered Danny Elfman’s book of sheet music from the movie off of Amazon (www.amazon.com I would sing along with this but my voice isn’t that great even though I love to sing. I’m trying to build up the courage to put up videos of me singing. Right now, I’m working on “Hallelujah” and “Complainte de la Butte” by Rufus Wainwright.
Listen to this peaceful song and relax. This is my original instrumental song called “Asymptotes.” The instruments were mainly used from Garage Band 09 and I used my Yamaha Keyboard as the MIDI controller. There’s a total of 10 separate tracks. Video Description: A boy is frustrated in writing a love letter to his girlfriend. He then leaves and starts driving to a scenic place. At the end, he finds himself in bed, wakes up, refreshed and relaxed. [The story really makes no sense, but to avoid copyright infringement, I video taped my own footage to go with my original song] Filmed in Kaneohe, HI.
